 Indian Economy


 l    India's exports grew by 36.3% on an annual basis to $24.8 bn in September, 2011, despite the slowdown in the US and Europe. Imports
      rose 17.2% to to $34.5 bn in September compared with same period of the previous year, leaving a trade deficit of $9.7 bn. The US and
      Europe markets accounts about 30% of total shipments. During the April-September period, India's exports grew by 52% to $160 bn from
      $105.2 bn in the same period last year. During the first half of this fiscal, the sectors that registered healthy growth include engineering
      (103%), petroleum and oil lubricants (PoL) (53%), gems and jewellery (23%), ready-made garments (32%), marine products (48%) and drugs
      (33 %). During April-September, 2011, India's imports expanded by 32.4% to $233.5 bn.The trade gap stood at $73.4 bn for the half-year. Oil
      imports grew by 14.62% to $9.2 bn in September, while non-oil imports rose by 18.17% to $25.3 bn during the month. During the first half of
      this fiscal, oil imports grew by 42.39% to $70.34 bn from $49.4 bn in the year-ago period.

Index opened the session with a downward gap and bounced sharply to fill the              NIFTY KEY STATS
intraday gap area. However, Nifty faced resistance at previous session's low which
dragged the index 72 points lower.At close of 5258 index lost 1.30%.

For the second consecutive day index made a lower high-low formation continuing           13EMA                                            5170
profit booking at higher levels.With previous session low, Nifty filled most of the Up-
Gap area of 5219-5322 formed on 28th Oct.This low also coincides with the 100 day         55EMA                                            5116
SMA placed at 5235 indicating strong support.With the current close, Nifty is placed      200EMA                                           5336
above the horizontal breakout level of 5220 levels which would act as a near term
support for the index. In the coming session if Nifty trades below 5238 then it may

test 50% Fibonacci Retracement level (of the downfall from 5700 to 4720) placed at
5200 levels. However a violation of the support zone of 5220-5200 levels on closing
basis would remain a cause of concern for the upside rally and it may slide up to
5150-5100 in near term. Strength above 5275 would lead index to move up in the
range of 5300-5320 levels.
The daily strength indicators RSI has turned down it is placed above its reference line
indecision amongst participants about the near term direction. Daily momentum
oscillator Stochastic has given a negative crossover from overbought region
suggesting correction to continue further.

The trend deciding level for the day is 5270, If NIFTY trades above this level then we
may witness a further rally up to 5300-5340-5370 levels. However, if NIFTY trades           BULLISH              - Clear uptrend seen.
below 5270 levels then we may see some profit booking to initiate in market, it may         MODERATELY BULLISH   - Some Strenth seen.
correct up to 5225-5200-5155 levels.                                                        NEUTRAL              - No Clear trend Seen.
