Internal USB Multi-function Card Reader User’s Guide
This internal Card Reader & Writer is an internal USB1.1/2.0 device which fits into 3.5” drive bay to save
the desktop space. It provides read & write functions. Data transfer rates are up to 480 Mbits/sec in USB
2.0 high speed mode and 12 Mbits/sec in USB 1.1 full speed mode.
You can easily write/read data to/from supported storage cards or exchange data between different
cards. It offer an extra USB port in the front panel to connect any USB peripheral. You can also change
the front panel among the 4 delivered.
This internal USB Multi-function Card Reader supports almost all kinds of memory cards: CF Ⅰ CFⅡ,
MD, SD, MINI SD, MMC, RS-MMC, MS, MS PRO, MS DUO, MS PRO DUO, SM, XD, USB DISK, USB
connector other equipment;
It supports Windows98/SE/ME/2000/XP, MAC8.6/9.0/10.0 or above.

Minimum system requirements
-Internal USB pinout on your motherboard or PCI card in 2 rows of 5 pins
If you do not have this pinout, you can not install this card reader.
There are nine pins and a hole to avoid the misintallation of the USB pinout.
-Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/VISTA – MAC OS 10.2 with 1 CD-ROM drive.
Caution : You need to install the driver before the card reader unit.
Driver installation for Windows 98/SE/2000
Check that you have not yet installed the card reader unit. Boot up your computer. Insert the CD driver.
Click on the file install.exe or setup.exe. Follow the instructions by clicking on Next.
Then click on Finish and boot up your system.
Windows ME/XP/VISTA/MAC OS will automatically install the driver.
Shut down your desktop computer. Choose an available 3½’’ drive bay.
Connect the card reader to your desktop computer via USB connector pinout directly.
Check below the drawing, the USB cable port is 9-hole as picture A while main board USB port
is 9-pin as picture B. Check your motherboard manual for the connection pinout. You have to
connect Vcc to the +5V of the motherboard, the ground , the DATA+ to USB+, the DATA- to
USB-. Ask for help to your retailer if you cannot manage to make the right connection.

Boot up your system. Let it install the driver.
Windows will add 4 removable disks which stand for the 4 main memory cards families : Xd ;
MS/M2 ; CF ; SD/MICRO-SD/MINI-SD/SM/MMC.
You have 6 slots for the 6 main families of memory cards : Xd/SM/SD ; MS/MS PRO DUO ;
MICRO-SD or T-FLASH ; MINI-SD ; M2 ; CF/MD.
Caution: the LED indicators may not match to the memory card slots.
Before ejecting the memory card, check that any LED indicator is blinking. Otherwise you may
lose data. You just need to wait a while that the LED indicator stops blinking.
If a memory card is not recognized under MAC OS, you have to format it in FAT or FAT 16.
If the card reader unit is not detected, check the connection pinout.
