Chemical Name - Please use the proper chemical name from the Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Supply Volume - How much will you bring with you?
Expected Waste Volume - How much will be left when you're done with the chemical?
Brand - From the MSDS or invoice, what company produced the chemical?
Product - Identifying number or number-letter code used by the company, from the MSDS or invoice
Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Number - Please record the accurate CAS number from the container or purchase records. This is critical to ensure safe storage and handling.
Shipping Information - carrier, airway bill number, to whom it was shipped (consignee)
Notes - any other information needed
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is the responsibility of the individual researcher.
Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) should be sent as electronic attachments or web links in the email that accompanies this spreadsheet.
