COME AND GET IT…
ABSENT WORK!
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get the class work you missed, complete it,
and put it in the tray marked with your period on the back counter next to the posted
grades. You will have the number of days absent to make up the missed work. After an
extended absence (more than a week) see me after checking the absent calendar to make
arrangements for your work to be turned in. See me your first day back.
DO NOT WAIT!
AFTER BEING ABSENT FROM CLASS:
1. Read the daily assignment calendar and copy everything for that day in your
planner to see exactly what work was done. Write down all homework, class
assignments, announcements, and books needed. Be sure you understand what is
written on the calendar.
2. Look in the folder for the corresponding day for any hand-outs missed. If there is
not a handout in the folder for you, and one was handed out, look in the extra
copy box next for the extra copy of that assignment.
3. If you have any questions, be sure to raise your hand during quite study time or
see me at the end of class and I will help you. Be certain that you understand the
assignment and have all the handouts needed BEFORE you leave class.
4. Write absent and the date that you were absent at the top of your completed
assignment and put it in your period’s bin. If you do not do this, I will not know
that it is absent work and I will NOT grade it.
5. If you were absent on a day that a test or quiz was given, you will take it the day
you return. It is, however, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ask me for the test or
quiz tat you missed. If it has been a long illness (more than one week) we will
make arrangements for a make-up test.
LATE WORK
Deadline and due sates are absolute. Assignments turned in last will carry a 50%
deduction. Do not choose to turn in late assignments or your grade will directly be
affected.
