Hybrid cars
What is a hybrid car?
• A hybrid car is a vehicle that basically has two engines or
two sources of power. It also has a special system for
capturing braking energy and storing it in a battery. The
typical hybrid that is common to day is the hybrid between
a gas and electric engine.
• Some other examples are:
Air and internal combustion engines, a rechargeable
energy source /battery, liquid nitrogen, solar, or human
power.

the air.
• Tax rebate
• Includes most up to date technology.

• Complex systems that are needed.
• Higher repair bills.
• They are less useful over continuous high speed driving.
• The possibility of a shortage of a raw material called
dysprosium that is required in electric motors and battery
systems.
• All of the high voltage circuited used in a hybrid, which
could be a problem if ever in an accident.
• Size of the vehicle.
