2.3 Accessing your Course/module

You have to be already enrolled to a module when you are trying to access it; if not, the system will ask

you if you want to take it, as we could see before.

You have two options to access the modules:

 By selecting a module that has been registered before (click on links A from Figure 8). After that

the list of its individual themes inside registered modules appears, as shown in Figure 11 that can

be selected.

 Through the selection of active modules in the student's personal profile, as shown in Figure 12:

The red arrow 1, in the Figure 12, shows how to select the active module

The red Arrow 2 shows an optional field “Jump to ...” where it is possible to select individual topics of

the active module.

11

Figure 12. The choice of the active module in a personal profile of the student

When you select the desired theme on one of the methods described, a page with chosen content will

open.

2.3.1 Basic Navigation

There are several ways to move through the course (or, more precisely, through one module of the

course).

 One way is through the internal navigation bar as shown on Figure 13.

Figure 13. Navigation bar

 ELefANTC: clicking on this will take you to the screen which displays the courses on the site in

the selected language (see Figure 2).

 “Module 3 – Sensors”: this is the name for this course; clicking on it will take you to the course

home page as shown on Figure 11.

 “Introduction”: this is the current page (topic) of module, where you are.

This is only one example of how the navigation bar may appear. Keep an eye on this as you navigate

through the course; you will notice that it changes to reflect your current position. When you are in a

course activity, you can move to another activity or resource within the course:

Figure 14. Choosing the activities

12

 Clicking on “Jump to …” in the pull-down menu (above) will allow you to select from the

complete list, in topic order, and navigate directly to your selection. The Next (>) and Previous (<)

buttons will take you back and forward between the activities and resources in the order in which

they appear.

 Finally, it is possible to navigate between pages by using the navigation buttons of your web

browser, but this is not recommended.

 Here you can, by clicking on the corresponding flag, also the language of the material. The system

requires that for each language in which the material will be read, register to the module in the

manner described in section 2.2.
