Help The NHSPCA Save 1,000 More Lives
In The ASPCA $100K Challenge
The New Hampshire SPCA Community Matchmakers
Would You Like To Help The NHSPCA Save More Innocent Lives?
The New Hampshire SPCA is the only NH shelter contending in the ASPCA’s Challenge To Save More
Lives and our goal is to save at least 1,000 more animals this year than last year. The Challenge is an
amazing opportunity for 50 shelters across the country to compete by saving more animals, with the
top prize of $100,000 for the winning shelter hanging in the balance. The true winners, however, are the
additional animals that will find homes and live lives that may have been uncertain. Last year was the first
Challenge by the ASPCA, and over 7,000 additional animals were placed. This year, the sky’s the limit!
We will need many, many people to help us reach this goal and reach we will!
Our campaign theme for The Challenge is “Love Is” and will be the thread from which all of our
promotions and events will be strung. One critical component of this theme is the “Community
Matchmaker”. The Matchmakers will help us create a personal one-on-one approach to finding homes
for specific animals. By promoting the animal of their choice through social media, website, in person,
or however they are able, the matchmaker will bring awareness to a specific pet’s availability and to
the Challenge itself. Once their chosen pet finds a home, the Matchmaker then gets to pick another pet
to promote.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Select a cat or dog to be the Matchmaker for
2. Promote that dog or cat in creative and abundant ways
3. When possible, make personal appearances with your ‘matchee’ (coordinated with the NHSPCA
staff, ie. Visit Rotary, a Chamber function, or a simple walk through town)
4. Commit to three months of helping to find wonderful animals, wonderful homes.
