                 NCCZ’s do :-
•   Raise awareness of doorstep crime
•   Express residents’ wishes not to be cold called
•   Empower residents to say ‘No’
•   Deter unscrupulous cold callers
            NCCZ’s do not :-
•   Make it illegal to cold call
•   Ban utility companies’ meter readers
•   Ban political canvassing
•   Ban charity collectors
•   Ban religious callers
           Success of Zones
• 72% of residents feel safer living within a
  NCCZ
• 74% of residents feel more confident when
  dealing with cold callers
         Where are we now?
• Zones varying in size from 4 to 400 houses
• 192 zones launched countywide
  – 55 within WCC
• 14,830 homes covered countywide
  – 2,204 homes within WCC
           How you can help
•   Identify potential areas
•   Attend launch events
•   Tell us of rogue trader incidents
•   Distribute ‘Safe & Sound’ packs
