South Course

Mauna Lani Resort South Course, renown as the former home to the annual Senior Skins Game from 1990 - 2000, snakes through the

stark, rugged a’a lava of the prehistoric Kaniku lava flow. The challenging South Course offers the golfer a panorama of mountain and

ocean views. The South Course is also home to No. 15, one of the most photographed over-the-water golf course holes in the world.





Players will be assigned to foursomes according to handicap. Pairings will be posted on Monday morning, February 27, at the OCA

Hospitality Desk. Shotgun start or consecutive tee times will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m., depending upon the number of golfers.

Space is limited!





Tournament Cost: $232 per player. Cost includes: Green fees, boxed lunch, shared cart, complimentary use of the practice facility,

two bottles of water per person, prizes, personalized bag tag, tees, ball markers and any tournament set-up or scoring.

Star Gazing on the West Coast of the Big Island

Get a first-hand look at the Universe right from our own Fairmont Orchid resort. Excellent optical equipment gives

an uncompromised view of the heavens. Visual aids, such as powerful green laser pointers and a handheld PDA

filled with diagrams and images educate and communicate effectively. We produce an experience that transcends the

everyday and mundane. Expand your horizons and gain a new perspective on our place in the Universe.



When: Sunday, February 26, 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Cost: $35 per person

Kona Historic Tour

We’ll take a drive through Kailua Kona. We will visit Pu’u Honua ‘O Honaunau, the Place of

Refuge and walk through the site where vanquished ancient Hawaiian Warriors fled for safety

and protection (admission included). Visit a locally-owned Kona Coffee gift shop with time for

coffee tasting and coffee shopping. View Kealakekua Bay, site of the Captain Cook monument

and St. Benedicts, known as the “Painted Church” which offers a taste of Kona’s rich and

diverse heritage.



When: Friday, February 24, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $55.00 per person









Whale Watching



OCA will enjoy a private whale watching event. February

is peak season for whale watching in Kona. The waters

along the coast are shallow and protected from predators

making this a prime location for humpback whales to

breed and have their babies during the winter months.

Trained naturalists provide a narrated commentary

complete with hydrophones to listen to whales at

play. Experience firsthand their dramatic behaviors.









When: Sunday, February 26, 9:30 am - 12:20 pm (this includes travel time)

Cost: $99 per person. Includes transportation, Hawaiian juices, soft drinks and dry snacks. Beer, wine and mixed

drinks available for purchase.









Zip Line

Experience a guided zipline course of eight exhilirating runs. Hike through trails with panoramic views, suspended bridges

and waterfalls. Cruise into the oldest rainforest on the island. Participants must weigh between 80 and 270 lbs. Minors

must have an adult present on the tour. Requires a low to medium degree of physical stamina and strength. Not for people

with heart conditions, recent bone or joint injuries or pregnant women. Transportation (45 minute drive each way) is

optional.

Cost: $180 per person if transportation is not needed

Monday, February 20

Arrive in Honolulu. After your flower lei greeting at the airport, you will be taken to the center of Waikiki to

the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomer Hotel, located in the middle of all of the shopping, restaurants and activities of

Waikiki Beach and a one minute walk to the beach! This evening is at your leisure.



Tuesday, February 21

This morning you will take a tour of Honolulu, Punch Bowl Crater and Cemetery, and Pearl Harbor. Afternoon

will be at your leisure.



Wednesday, February 22

Today you will be taken to the airport for your short flight to Kona (Big Island) for your main program.

Depart Kona (Big Island) for your short flight to Maui. Upon arrival transfer to Kaanapalli and stay at the

elegant Sheraton Maui, located next to golf courses, shopping and restaurants! You will be on a beautiful white

sand beach.



Thursday, March 1

This morning you will have a tour of Maui, visiting the dormant Volcano Haleakala and see the spectacular

House of the Sun Crater. You will enjoy the 10,000 foot summit and see the visitors center and rare

silverswords plants. Some of the highlights you will see are unique species of birds, the Nene Goose, the town

of Wailuka, sugar cane fields, and Ka’ahumanu Church. Finally you will experience a three-hour tour of the

famous Iao Valley State Park.
