A General Market Survey, also known as a Demographic Survey, is used to gather
useful and basic demographic information about a potential market or about a target
customer base. It is also widely used to assess an unfamiliar area of interest and
decide if there is a new market for a product or service. Additionally, it can be
customized to provide for any additional industry-specific language that may be
necessary. This survey should be used by small businesses or other entities to
determine the viability of a potential market or customer base.
