Subject Meeting of the Telecommunication Development Advisory Group (Geneva, 15-17 December 2004) and

: the TDAG Working Group dealing with Private Sector Issues (Geneva, 13-14 December 2004)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have pleasure in inviting you to participate in the forthcoming meeting of the Telecommunication

Development Advisory Group (TDAG), to be held from 15 to 17 December 2004 at ITU

Headquarters in Geneva. The meeting will begin at 0930 hours in room "C".

It will be preceded by the TDAG Working Group dealing with Private Sector Issues (WGPS) meeting

on 13-14 December.

The agendas for these meetings are given in Annex 1 and Annex 2 respectively.

Working documents will be posted as they become available, on the ITU-D website at URL

http://www.itu.int/ITU-D/TDAG/Index.htm

In Annex 3 you will find the registration form for both meetings. I should be grateful if you would

return the form by fax to +41 22 730 5484 before 26 November 2004.

Contributions should be submitted no later than 10 September 2004, using the website or the

e-mail address tdag@itu.int. It will not be possible to translate contributions that are received late.

It is intended to encourage the participation of the least-developed countries in the work of TDAG,

within the existing budgetary constraints, by granting fellowships to the administrations of those

countries on a first-come, first-served basis. I should be grateful if you would complete the

application in Annex 4 and return it to the Fellowships service no later than 5 November 2004.

I firmly believe that your active participation will make these meetings a success, and trust that, as

in the past, I will be able to benefit from your advice and recommendations, which are so valuable to

BDT's activities.

I look forward to seeing you in Geneva.

Yours faithfully,

[original signed by Mr. Hamadoun I. Touré, Director]
