Research Volunteers Needed for UNC Studies
Two different research studies are looking for volunteers. Both include stipends for participants who qualify.
• The first is studying social cognition in individuals with schizophrenia. It involves three assessments of psychiatric
history, cognition, social cognition, and behavior. For more information, see our August issue or contact Betty
Rupp at 919-843-5262 or brupp@email.unc.edu.
• The second is studying a computer-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) program for individuals with a
schizophrenia spectrum disorder that includes auditory hallucinations. Participants will receive 8 to 12 weekly
sessions of the self-guided program and complete two interviews. For more information, contact Kay Harper at
