Caterers/Tent Companies
The list of vendors below is not an exclusive list, but rather a list of local companies who have served
events at Ewing and are aware of the unique facilities. Vendors not on this list may be used; however,
prior to signing a contract please be sure they have spoken with the Ewing staff.
Required Insurance
The caterer and any other vendor providing services is responsible for providing Ewing staff a Certificate
of Insurance naming Illinois State University Foundation / Ewing Cultural Center as a certificate holder.
The coverage should include a minimum limit of $500,000 per occurrence for general liability and
$500,000 per occurrence for products and completed operations as well as evidence of commercial
automobile coverage. If the vendor has employees that will be working at Ewing Cultural Center,
workers’ compensation coverage with minimum limits of $500,000/$500,000/$500,000 is required.
There are no exceptions.
The certificate of insurance must be received 30 days in advance of the event. Without it on file the
vendor will not be allowed on the property.
The vendor providing alcohol, this vendor must also provide evidence of the necessary license required
by the City of Bloomington. In addition, the hosts (renters) are required to provide a one-day host
liquor liability policy, which can typically be provided by the carrier of their homeowner’s insurance.
All persons working for your event must supply this proof of insurance, including caterers, event
planners, florists, etc.
