1. Open Internet and go to www.careercruising.com
a. Username: peel Password: 28300
2. Click On Career Matchmakers.
a. Enter your first and Last name.
b. Start a New Career Cruising Matchmaker Session.
i. Answer questions honestly and use your 1st thought when in doubt.
c. When the 1st 39 Questions are complete…
Click On Answer more questions to improve my results.
d. When the 2nd set of Questions are complete…
Click On Answer more questions to improve my results.
e. When the 3rd set of Questions are complete… you should be able to click on Answer more
questions to improve my results BUT will receive the message box All Questions are Complete.
At this point in time you should have answered approximately 116 questions.
3. You should now Click On Review my answers and make changes.
a. Review answers and make changes in the Drop Down Box.
4. You should be presented with a list of 40 careers Ranked in descending order that may be suitable for
you based on your answers. (The accuracy of course is based on your understanding of the questions
and how careful you were in answering the questions). Your interests and aptitudes will change as you
continue in school and have gain new experiences!
5. IMPORTANT!
a. Click On the Quick save my results button.
b. Enter both a Personal Password and Confirm Password.
c. RECORD your Logon and Password in your agenda.
d. Click On Save my results.
6. Save Your Results to a Word Document
a. Press - Hold – Drag and Highlight ALL 40 careers and release the mouse.
b. Click on Edit Copy on the menu Bar.
c. Open a new Word Document and Click On Edit Paste.
7. When you have completed ALL the questions save your results to a portfolio.

b. Make certain you give your personal email, so when you forget your username or password you
can get it back.
8. Once it’s saved you’ll see possible occupations and 2 career clusters.
9. Research 10 career options that interest you or that you want to learn more about:
a. Spend 5 to 10 minutes skimming and scanning job description, wages, education, a day in the
life, interviews etc.
10. Select 2 occupations to fully research:
a. One occupation that you are mostly likely to pursue that matches your aptitudes and interests,
has suitable wages and benefits, matches your educational goals…
* “Access Your Allies” including parents, siblings, friends to get advice.
b. Select One that intrigues you, never thought of.
* “Follow Your Heart.”
11. Go through the general information, cut/paste and make jot notes on both Careers.
12. 5 or 6 words only for each jot note. (Job Description, Earning, Working conditions…)
* You will be assuming the role of one of the two occupations that you researched for our Real Game
Project @ Allan A. To be presented @ the end of our Real Game Activity.
** You will be entering the work force after leaving University with you degree (s) and moving out of home
and/or residence. You will be single but may have to share or rent from a friend once we determine how
expensive it is in the “Real World!”
