Lark’s Notes

Bob and I vacationed at Navarre Beach in 2004 while we were visiting our son

who was attending flight school in Alabama. We had lived in Oregon most of

our lives and fell in love with Navarre because it was slow-paced and the people

were so friendly. While we were visiting, we searched for coffee, since we are

enthusiasts and the Northwest is famous for its coffee. We were surprised and

disappointed that there were few places to find a latte. Back in Oregon, we kept

thinking about the beautiful white beaches and the blue skies in Florida and we

decided to buy retirement property in Navarre. I had worked seven years for the

State of Oregon, protecting abused and neglected children and I was ready for a

change. I asked Bob if we could move to Florida and sell lattes at the beach. He

replied, ‘Do it’. Before we moved, I attended Coffee College in Portland,

Oregon, to learn how to brew excellent coffee and make other delicious drink

concoctions. We opened our coffee cart, November 15, 2005 and soon added

paninis and pastries. This was a popular addition to our menu and soon we

needed more room to work. We opened a storefront café on January 4, 2010 and

our customers followed us. We are grateful for them and others who have visited

us. They are truly a blessing to us and our employees. God bless them and you.

We hope you enjoy your visit!
