TAG QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 30 semester/45 quarter UC transferable units must be completed to submit a TAG
application
Minimum 3.5 GPA required by the end of Fall 2011 and maintained through Spring 2012
English 101 & English 102 or 103 or Philosophy 5 must be completed by the end of Fall 2011
One transferrable Math course must be completed by the end of Fall 2011 (Math courses that
meet this requirement include Math 227, 235, 238, 245, 260, 261, 262; Statistics 1, 7)
Impacted majors in the Jacobs School of Engineering will be screened for major preparation;
Strongly recommended to complete lower-division major preparation for all other majors; see
www.assist.org for details
Minimum of 60 semester/90 quarter UC transferrable units must be complete by Spring 2012
All other TAG qualifications without specific deadlines are to be completed by Spring 2012, please
see www.ucsd.edu/prospective-students/transfers for details
IGETC completion is required
IMPORTANT TAG INFORMATION
• Major is not guaranteed as part of TAG
• No colleges and/or majors are excluded from TAG
WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A TAG?
• Students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree, graduate degree, and/or professional degree
• Students who were previously enrolled at UCSD during regular term (not including summer session)
• Students with CCC coursework and non-CCC coursework from international colleges/universities (outside U.S.)
• Students concurrently enrolled in high school
APPLY FOR TAG
Apply for TAG a year before you plan to transfer. For Fall 2012 transfer, complete/submit a TAG application Fall 2011.
• Complete the online UC TAG application and submit it during the appropriate filing period: September 1 – 30
• Once your TAG is submitted, fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements designated in your TAG agreement
• Apply for admission to UC during the appropriate filling period: November 1 – 30 (Note: If you do not complete a UC
application your TAG will be null and void)
