PASADENA, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Idealab announced today that Andy Steuer has joined the
company to work on new company creation, primarily in the area of new mobile applications. With nearly 20 years
of leadership and entrepreneurial experience, Andy has broad experience across a variety of small and large
technology and entertainment companies.

Prior to joining Idealab, Andy was CEO of MerchEngines, an online marketing company that he founded in 2005
and grew through a successful acquisition by Deluxe Corporation (NYSE: DLX), a Fortune 500 company, in 2009.
Andy has also been on the founding team or worked at companies including MusicNet, acquired by Real Networks
(NASDAQ: RNWK), CNET, acquired by CBS, Infoseek, acquired by Disney (NYSE: DIS), Xoom.com,
acquired by NBC and ZeroDegrees, acquired by IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), in addition to serving as a Managing
Partner in an angel investment fund called Andojo.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Idealab to focus on building a business in the mobile space around shopping and
customer rewards,” said Steuer. “The Idealab team and infrastructure they provide is the best in the industry to
launch a new company, and having built customer acquisition businesses for years, I’m excited about digging into an
area focused on helping companies grow through customer loyalty.”

“We’re very excited to have Andy working with us here at Idealab,” said Bill Gross, CEO of Idealab. “He brings
tremendous entrepreneurial expertise and a wealth of experiences in the technology, entertainment, retail, search,
social media and other fields that we know will be extremely valuable as we continue to develop new companies in
these markets.”
