Long shot, night, a shadowy castle in the forest (it’s actually castle Frankenstein)

Overhead taking up most of the sky is a flaming meteor. It is changing direction and

flying over the forest. The vague outline of a flying saucer in the flames can be

discerned





Caption:

Panel 2

(Panel 2 and 3 take up the middle 1/3 of the page)

The saucer has landed in the forest. There are several aliens that have come out of it,

some in the foreground some in the background. (The aliens are insect-like. 4 antlike

legs set between a mantis-like upright torso and a rounded bulbous abdomen. They

have conical heads rounded at the top almond shaped eyes no nose and no mouth to

proboscis at the bottom of their heads (where a chin would be on a human) A couple of

them are setting up odd looking equipment. In the doorway of the saucer 3 shadows of

figures are exiting the ship and ready to come down the ramp.

Caption:

It was a turbulent time in the world when the Spidoc Empire first took interest

in earth.

Move in closer to the doorway the shadowed figures are two aliens holding up a third.

The third alien has a humanoid shape two human like legs no bulbous abdomen. He

has the beginning of a human mouth and a slight bump that could be forming into a

nose He is having trouble standing so the others are holding him.

Caption:

They sent their agents and drew their plans.

(Bottom ¼ of page)

The aliens align the equipment up the project light rays on the humanoid alien.

They turn it on causing his form to shimmer and change shape into a human being.

One of the 6-limbed aliens is producing papers and documentation (maybe human

clothing too) from a hand held machine and handing it to the human looking alien.

The humanoid alien is shaking hands with Adolf Hitler.





Panel 4

Inside the castle in a hallway with stonewalls. There is a fortified metal door with a

sign on it. A Nazi guard is standing by the door. Next to him is a nondescript wooden

desk it looks out of place in this setting. There is a typewriter and several stacks of

papers. Behind the desk is an SS officer.

Close up of a door on the door is a sign the sign says: Eintrag verboten





Panel 6

Inside the “verboten” room. The walls are stone the room has been made into an

impromptu hospital lab. Kerner is standing over a patient strapped to a hospital bed

the man is look at Kerner in terror. He is cut open from neck to groin. On the other

side of the bed is Dr Joseph Mengela.

A horribly deformed man is naked on his knees. A Nazi soldier is shooting him in the

back of the head.





Panel 2

An only slightly deformed extremely muscular man is in the same position he is also

being executed. There are numbers tattooed on his arm.





Panel 3

A Nazi soldier is burning a pile of human bodies in a pit with a flamethrower.





Panel 4

A large overly muscular naked man is fighting a group of Nazi soldiers. One soldier is

standing back shooting at him with a machine gun the bullets are causing only minor

damage penetrating and causing him to bleed but not killing him.





Panel 5

Other men with machine guns are flanking the giant and shooting. He is down on his

hands and knees trying to grab the first machine gunner. He is covered in blood.





Panel 6

Close up of the first gunner he is terrified. The giant’s hand is around his neck. The

tattooed numbers are clearly visible on the giant s arm.





Panel 7

The giant is finally succumbing to his injuries. He is releasing his grip on the soldier

and falling to the ground. The soldiers are relieved.

A shirtless Aryan man is standing arms akimbo and smiling a hail of bullets is

bouncing off of his chest.

Caption:

In 1939 they made their first success





Panel 2

In the foreground champagne glasses are being clinked together. In the

background the Aryan superman is bending a steel bar.





Panel 3

In a movie theater front view of the screen a black and white propaganda film is

being shown. In the film four superhuman Nazi’s are attacking a group of enemy

soldiers. One of them is a bald man flying and shooting lightning from his fingertips.

Another is a woman with a spear through which she is channeling a beam of flame,

another is large man who is picking up a tank over his head (action comics #1) and the

fourth is a tall thin dark haired man with a van dyke beard. He is pointing at a huge

boulder that is floating in the air in front of him and about to strike at the enemy

soldiers.

The same footage is now on a screen behind a young Walter Cronkite (circa 1969)

Caption:

They’re running that “you were there” episode about the superheroes again.

Fourth time this month.





Cronkite:

“And in the summer of 1940 the Nazi regime revealed their grand secret

weapon: a quartet of superhumanly powerful soldiers called the Uberkrieger.

Striking a devastating blow to the moral of allied soldiers in the

Field. Many were left to wonder if perhaps the Nazi propaganda were true and

the world were destined to be ruled by a German Master race.





Panel 2

Pulling out we can see Cronkite is on a small black and white TV. In the

foreground is the of socked feet of the person watching the television. Behind Cronkite

is a picture of brightly costumed masked men. Each mans costume is fashioned to

represent an allied country: England, France, Russia, America,

(America: Captain Glory and Minuteman, Russia: The Proletariat, and Red Star, France

Fleur du lis and Partisan, England: Bulldog and Redcoat)

Caption:

I’ve watched it each time, it’s a good show, but a small paranoid part of me can’t

help but think that it’s just an attempt to make us associate the noble heroes of

World War to with Viet Nam

Cronkite:

In response the governments of the world joined together with select members

of the Hollywood establishment to perpetuate a desperate ploy to fan the fading

moral of the brave fighters in Europe. Project Mythos





Panel 3:

Close up of a young man (Trevor Allan, age 20. He has long light brown hair

parted to the side and a freckled face He is wearing a wide collared shirt and a white

vest) he is sitting up on a bed. He is lit by the glow of the TV by in front of him at the

end of the bed. He is lighting a bong. Trevor’s apartment (not everything has to be

shown just get the character) is a studio with a one doorway to the small kitchen and

one to the bathroom. There is a large picture window, the paint on the windowsill is

chipping there is an old radiator under the window. The floor is littered with comic

books and magazines mostly to do with superheroes. There are no bed just two

stacked mattresses on the floor Trevor is on the “bed” taking a bong hit. There is an old

black and white TV at the end of the bed. Mike Bern (age 20 long black Hair parted in

the middle. He is wearing a wide collared shirt and bellbottom jeans) is sitting in a

kitchen chair next to the bed

Using actors stuntmen and Hollywood trickery the men of Mythos created the

illusion that supermen were not exclusive to the Nazis it was a strategy while

absolutely necessary was also doomed to eventual failure were it not

Mike’s number came up last week. He has to report on Monday.

Mike:

See man I told you all the Ubers are fake.

Trevor:

Dude, They’re not fake. They were faked at first to trick the Nazis it’s like that

thing they did with the balloon tanks and shit.

Balloon tanks? Man, you’re way high.

Trevor:

No it was called Operation Fortitude the made fake tanks so the Germans

wouldn’t know we were attacking Normandy.

… The Nazi superhuman program was crippled by the defection of it’s the chief

scientist, Doctor Alexander Kerner in 1941. Doctor Kerner promptly created

the American superhuman program Project H.E.R.A.

Close up of the TV. On the screen is the Manhattan skyline it is daylight but the

moon is out in the background, floating in the sky, almost the size of the moon, is

Arishial a gigantic rhombus shaped entity with two jagged pointed stalks sticking up

from either side of the axis of the rhombus, and an elliptical gem in the center of it’s

body the television is surrounded by wafts of smoke.

Caption:

So this weekend we’re driving up to Nevada. Mike wanted to go to Las Vegas

but I convinced him Olympus Rock would be better, less crowded for one thing

plus we can go to the Legends museum.

Mike:

Dude is that Cronkite show still on?

Mike and Trevor are half lying half sitting on the bed propped up by the wall

There are chips and salsa between them. They are very stoned.

He won’t necessarily admit it but he’s still just as much into Ubers as I am.

No I think this is a different show.

Overhead shot of the room Mike and Trevor are still on the bed all the chips

have been eaten.

Trevor:

Hey man we’re gonna hafta sober up if we’re gonna drive out tonight.

TV:

Conspiracy theories still abound after last year’s tragic string of slayings of

prominent figures of American history.





Panel 2

Close up of the TV. The photograph of martin Luther king’s assassination is

being shown (the one were all the people are pointing to were the shots came from.)

TV:

First the slaying of civil rights activist Dr Martin Luther King on April 4th

The TV is now showing a picture of an apartment shot from overhead from the

walkway on the next level the body of a Caucasian man with short blonde hair is on the

floor a puddle of blood has formed by the head. Further in the apartment in the

shower is the body of a black man.

TV:

Then that of Timothy Ryan Spencer better known as Captain Eagle the

costumed hero of World War II resurrected from a seeming death in 1962 and

brought low again six years later on may 5th

The TV shows a still shot of the Robert Kennedy assassination.

TV:

down at the Ambassador hotel on June 6th

Side view. A man in a lab coat is talking into a microphone. Tim (captain eagle)

is behind him.

Scientist:

Day 360, 8:50 pm. Subject Eagle has shown increasing signs of life. Heartbeat

has increased to one beat per day. Blood has shown signs of liquidity. Estimate time of

resurrection to be roughly two to three weeks.

Close up of the bullet wound it is smaller.

Lab assistant:

Dr. Tyne we got another heart beat.





Panel 4

Dr Tyne is taking Tim’s pulse. The assistant is looking at Tim with amazement.

Dr Tyne:

What? This is amazing that’s a 50% increase from yesterday. We’re going to

have to revise our estimates.

Tim has gotten off the slab he is standing unsteadily and hunched over.

Both the doctor and the assistant are frozen in place

Medium shot of Doctor Tyne. He is holding his hands out in a gesture of peace.

Behind him his assistant is filling a hypodermic needle.

Tyne:

Mr. Spencer, p-please remain calm you were injured and in a coma. If you c-

could return to your bed.

Same scene only through Tim’s eyes. Everything is slightly distorted and lit by

harsh light from above. Making the doctor and his nurse into shadowy figures.

Mikes car (a 56 Chevy candy apple red) viewed from behind is coming up over a

hill in the foreground. In the background is the city of Olympus Rock. It is night and

the city lights are illuminating the empty space of desert it sits in. at the gate of the city

are two twin buildings similar to the Chrysler building. In the distance is a large mesa

surrounded by a fortified wall.

Ah man you know that’s gonna be fake, right? I hear they got Stanley Kubrick to

do use the special effect that he used in that 2001 movie to fake a moon landing too.

(This was because of the moon landing. People were lighting the way home for the

astronauts)

Christmas lights? It’s too hot to be winter. The last time this happened I laid in a

coma for 20 years how long this time? What kind of future am I in?

Mike:

I’m telling you man that was all effects like that balloon tank thing you were

talking about, or the fake superheroes in world war two, and that big alien that was

gonna like destroy the world when we were in high school.

Trevor:

Ah come on man you don’t even believe that Arishiel was real? How could they

have faked that? You could see it all over the world.

No man that’s how the man’s gonna keep us in line. You know make us all think

we’re Buck Rogers so we don’t think about things like the war we’re losing in Nam or

the economy or the Russians having the bomb.

Mike and Trevor are at their hotel opening the door to go in.

Trevor:

You see mike your problem is you’re too pessimistic. We’re on the frontier of

the new age flying cars, jet packs, and superpowers living in space.

Mike:

Yeah right and we’re only 15 years away from 1984.

Mike and Trevor are in the hotel room mike is on the phone. Trevor is on the

Mike:

They’re sending two girls over dude. Just like that. I told you Nevada is

Wide shot. Mike Trevor and Michelle/ Cherry are in the crowd going into a

Trevor is feeding Michelle/Cherry cotton candy and smiling. Mike is looking

Tim is coming out of one of the casinos along with the crowd.

Caption:

The moon landing. That means it’s only been a year. I can work with that.

A black sedan is driving by; there are four men in suits in the car. They are

looking at Tim.

Caption:

I can think more clearly now. My captors must have removed the bullet while I

was in their care. Less pain now that my healing factors kicking in. I’m sure I’ve

lost memory don’t know who to trust.





Panel 3

Tim has noticed the sedan.





Panel 4

The car has stopped on of the agents is getting out.

Agent

Captain Spencer, please come with us.

Panel 1-6 (could probably extend this out another page)

Chase scene: Tim running from the guys in the car, jumping over fences and

cars and walls. It ends up with Tim running into the dessert the car is blocked by a

brick wall.





Panel 7-8

The agents blocked by the wall are frustrated. One hitting the hood of the car.

Another one is talking on the car radio.

Agent

Base this is Hamm, we’ve spotted eagle. He’s running north into the dessert just

off Kirby. We’re blocked off and we’ll have to go around. Get a chopper out there

and see if you can spot him for us.

Mike and Trevor are getting in Mike’s car. Trevor on the driver’s side.

Mike

Don’t beat yourself up about it man. You tried to do a good thing. You just can’t

make peoples choices for them.

Interior of the car.

Trevor:

I just feel so stupid and naïve. I mean what was I thinking.

Mike:

Well yeah it was stupid and naïve but you gave her a chance and I don’t know I

think that’s good like karma wise y’know

Tim is running in the dessert a trail of dust is kicking up behind him

Mike’s car is driving down he road kicking up dust as well.

The black sedan is coming out of the city.

Agent Hamm on the car radio.

Keep the chopper looking we’ll see if we can’t pick him up on the road. He might

try to get a ride or something.

Mike’s car is coming up over a hill.

Tim is jumping behind a sand dune just ahead of the searchlights of a military

helicopter.





Panel 3

Inside Mike’s car they are passing a joint. Trevor is driving.

Radio:

We can’t go on together with suspicious eyes,

The restaurant has a 50s sci-fi look to it. A lot of chrome. The waitresses wear

silver mini skirts with triangular epaulettes; Trevor and mike are going into the

restaurant. Trevor is acting relatively normal although he is of course high. Mike is

floating two feet off the ground leaning slightly forward. Little bubbles are flying and

popping around his head. His expression is pure bliss.





Panel 2

They are sitting at a table facing the camera Mike is smiling stupidly bubbles

still floating around his head. Trevor is looking at the menu with excitement.

Trevor:

Oh mannn! Blue planet Blueberry pancakes I want that. Oooh, and with the

whip cream.

Mike:

Blu ma kerflu gmat





Panel 3

Mid-shot of the waitress, she is wearing a solid silver mini-dress with a clear

plastic belt she has tin foil antennae. She is writing the order in a cheesily futuristic

pad with a similar pen (think Jetsons)

Waitress:

One blue, one coffee and toast and one…what was that he said?

Trevor:

Don’t worry about it. I’m sure whatever you put in front of him he’ll eat.

Waitress how bout the space burger combo?

Trevor:

That’ll work.

Outside on a hill overlooking the restaurant Tim is crouching behind a bush

looking at the restaurant. His clothes are torn and there are cuts on his arms and legs

Mike and Trevor are sitting in the restaurant. They are all smiling. Mike

Trevor is noticing the four guys in suits coming into the restaurant. His eyes are

wide open in fear.

Trevor is telling mike he also worried.

Trevor:

Dude I think those are the cops from the helicopter.

We have to get out of here. And we have to be super inconspicuous…casual.

The guys are leaving the restaurant walking right past the four men. They

couldn’t be less casual. Trevor is pulling mike along who although he’s not actually

floating now is still pretty out of it. The four men are looking at them with suspicion.

Medium shot all the agents have pulled out guns and are aiming them at the

reader.

Mike:

Move in closer to one of the agents. He has a slight smile.

Agent:

Yeah, we were thinking we’d have a look in your trunk. I’m sure you don’t mind

now.

Close up of the guys they are just standing there with their mouths open.

Agent:

That’s kind of what I thought.

Two of the agents are behind the car getting ready to open the trunk. One of the

other agent is covering the guys and the other is standing back from the car

pointing his gun at the trunk.

View from inside the trunk it is opening. We can see the mid section of the two

Pull out to show the room. It’s a nice office but Spartan. Wood desk, leather

couch, typewriter and phone on the desk (remember it’s 1969 so make sure they’re

period appropriate)

Trevor

They released your picture the time everyone thought you were dead. Which

brings up my next question. Didn’t you get killed last year?

Tim

I got better.

Trevor

No way I saw the body on TV. Are you telling me that was another fake out?

Tim is scratching his chin

Tim

No, it wasn’t a fake out. Actually the first time wasn’t either. I really was shot.

That really was my body you saw on the news. But I didn’t really die. When I get

wounded that badly my body just goes into a kind of coma until my special

healing factor can kick in. I guess it took about a year this time.

shape (he looks like a person who is melting from the head down) Thunderbolt: a

long haired Native American in a spandex jumper with lightning bolts on it and open to

the navel, Amaza: a very tall, very muscular woman in a two piece spandex uniform.

The Ape: a thick furred man with abnormally long arms and an oversized frontal lobe.

There are several men and women in military uniforms as well as in civilian clothes.

Some are oddly deformed: There is a man with clear skin so you can see his organs.

There are a couple of amphibian humanoids,

brown. Costume similar to something Robin Hood would wear is turning toward them.

Longbow:

My God! Tim! You’re back!

Longbow is Shaking Tim’s hand vigorously.

Longbow:

I tell ya, I didn’t really believe it until right now. But here you are like fucking

risen Lazarus. And it really is you! Can’t fool me with no robots or clones I know my old

teammate.

A group of people has formed around Tim and Trevor and Longbow, some in

costumes some in uniforms and some in civilian clothes.

Tim:

Longbow. Please language, that’s no way for a superhero to talk.

Captain Eagle (in the 1940’s uniform) is shooting a machine gun at Iron Cross I

(the Nazi superhero) the bullets are bouncing off him and Iron Cross is laughing.

“No one knew I could come back.”

Panel 5

Thunderbird is firing explosive arrows at Iron Cross. The explosions are

knocking him back.

Same as panel 5 but Iron cross is starting to recover.

better with hole in my head.





H.E.R A’s a big organization there’s a lot of opportunities for a young smart man

like yourself so you want a job?





Trevor:

Are you kidding me? I’m getting an offer to work with forgive me but the first

and I think greatest of all the worlds superheroes and a chance to find out some of the

hidden secrets of the intelligence underworld.

Do I want a job? This job? Yeah since I a was ten.





Tim:

Well then I guess it’s welcome aboard.
