Hewlett packard Pavilion Dv6000 Battery Issue

Q: Last week my own HP Pavilion dv6000 the actual battery was dead, therefore i went to charge this, but

my charger was slightly frayed and that i had to tape this up. When the charger was at the battery light had

been on but flashing through green to red, and also the battery wasn't actually getting charged. I thought this

mite be as a result of dodgy charger so i acquired a new one as well as its still doing exactly the same thing,

its not actilly getting the battery just running the laptop. I wondered if it had been a problem with electric

battery!

A: While the laptop computer is plugged in, remove the trying to run off of your own AC adapter. If which

works then fiddle along with shutting down the pc, and applying the battery again to find out if it works. We

have the same model at the job, and came across exactly the same problem that has occurred twice. By

plugging it to the AC adapter and after that removing the battery whilst plugged in, then trying to utilize it

(sometimes it powers down and must be restarted, sometimes it continues in order to startup) then plugging

the battery in after it's powered down and unplugged through the wall has fixed it 100% of times.

The diagnostic procedures through the Dell User Guide are below:
