To qualify for the Associate of Science in Business Degree you must meet the admission
requirements of both Indiana University and the Business A.S. program as follows:
1. Complete 30 degree applicable hours.
2. Complete ENG W131, COM 114, PSY 120, SOC S161, and, if required, MA 153.
3. Overall GPA of 2.0
Your final fifteen (15) consecutive, degree-applicable credits must be completed after you have been
admitted to the degree program. Remedial courses do not apply to either admission or degree
You must complete all required courses and selections with a minimum cumulative GPA of C (2.0)
and you may earn no less than a C grade in each of the courses marked with an asterisk (*).

Use of A.S. Business Degree credits toward B.S. Business Degree requirements:
All courses required for the Associate of Science in Business Degree will apply to the Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business. Neither the admission to nor completion of the A.S. Business Degree
program will “automatically” qualify you for admission to the B.S. program. Currently enrolled A.S.
students and graduates holding the A.S. Business Administration Degree who wish to continue
toward the Bachelor of Science in Business Degree must meet the criteria for admission to the
program specified in the Business and Management Sciences section of the current IPFW Bulletin.
Suggested Additional Selection courses for students planning to seek the B.S. degree: COM 323,
ENG W233, MA 229, or other courses applicable to General Education in the B.S. program.
