                                      GS-6-General Service (GS) category
                               (Senior-level GS position in the Mongolian UN family)

UNICEF Mongolia seeks an enthusiastic and committed staff with excellent planning and
organizational skills to provide effective executive assistance, clerical/secretarial functions as well as
oral and written translation from English to Mongolian and vice versa to the office of the
Representative and the Deputy Representative, under the direct supervision of the head of office.

Joining a dynamic and supportive team, you will be responsible for dealing with offices of high-level
government officials, implementing partners and the diplomatic corps requiring proficiency in
protocol matters, facilitating smooth running of the office and effective processing of information
and data. You will be challenged to provide interpretation during the meeting and written translation
of documents, technical guidance to Programme Assistants on UNICEF communication styles and
practices as well as general office procedures, including filing and archiving. Registry functions will
also be performed by this position.

Your profile:
 Six years of progressively responsible clerical or administrative work, of which at least one year
   is senior secretarial level.
 Completion of secondary education, supplemented by university studies, in languages,
   linguistics, international relations and related field. Proven shorthand and typing ability and
   thorough knowledge of modern office procedures required. Ability to do simultaneous oral and
   written translation from English to Mongolian and vice versa. Knowledge of protocol.
 Initiative, passion and commitment to UNICEF’s mission and professional values.
 Ability to maintain and develop effective working relationships, within and outside the
 Highly proficient in the using Microsoft Office applications.
