OFF FIELD EDUCATION FOR QUEENSLAND'S ELITE ATHLETES
The Queensland Olympic Council and the QAS Athlete Career and Education Program are
pleased to present our Introduction to Sponsorship workshop as part of our 2011 London
Learning Series.
This annual series is delivered as part of our professional development program for elite

Many elite athletes are already on our email distribution list, especially those from Olympic
sports and sports on the QAS program, however we would like to extend our distribution
network to include all elite athletes from all sports in Queensland.
As a matter of course will now include all SSO's on our distribution list so please feel free to
pass along to your high performance program athletes. If you would like us to automatically
include your athletes on our distribution list simply provide us with a name and email and
we will be more than happy to ensure they receive all invitations to events. Many of our

INTRODUCTION TO SPONSORSHIP

Would you like to know how to attract and keep great sponsors?
Here’s your chance to learn from one of the best in the field. Olympic Gold & Bronze
Medallist and sponsorship specialist Natalie Cook will introduce you to what you need to
know to successfully attract and build ongoing relationships with sponsors.
Who is this for?
Athletes who want to:
· know what sponsorship is all about
· know how to position themselves as an attractive sponsorship option
· develop more self-confidence in approaching sponsors
· identify how to connect with sponsors
· build positive relationships with sponsors
· remind themselves of the keys to sponsorship success
· get re-motivated and back on track with pursuing and optimising sponsorship
This course has proven to be very popular in the past and athletes have not only
attained some priceless information which has made an enormous difference to their
sport and career beyond sport, but have totally enjoyed Nat’s engaging presentation
style.
