Woe Unto Those Who
Are At Ease In Zion
Amos 6:1-8
Adapted from Charts & Sermon by Mark Mayberry
Then and Now
• Many at ease in the days of Amos
– Had a false sense of security
– Given to their luxuries & material possessions
– Not see impending danger of God’s judgment
• Many modern saints also at ease in Zion
– Lukewarm, lethargic & lulled to sleep by Satan
– Given to pursuit of materialism & pleasure
– Fail to consider the coming judgment of God

Conclusion
• Like those of Amos’ day, the church at
Laodicea was also at ease in Zion
– Despite their complacency, they were
facing desperate spiritual problems
– God demands that all such individuals be
zealous and repent (Revelation 3:14-19)
• We must be diligent & zealous in the
Lord’s work (Titus 2:11-14).
