Internal Revenue Service Data Book, 2007 Tax-Exempt Activities T able 22 summarizes IRS activities, such as issuing technical guidance, to assist tax-exempt entities and facilitate their compliance with the Federal tax laws. Table 23 provides information about applications for taxexempt status by employee pension plans. Table 24 provides information about applications for taxexempt status by charitable and other organizations.
