How To Cure Snoring Problems
Many people snore when they are sleeping. This can be very disturbing especially if you sleep in the same room with
other people as they will not be able to get enough sleep. Loud snores can wake up other people that are already
sleeping and give them a nightmare of a night. It can also cause you friends to laugh at you and also lose you friends
especially the roommates. There are many ways how to cure snoring.
The first way to tame your excessive snoring is by changing your sleeping position. When you sleep on you back,
your tongue falls back to the wall of your throat. As you breathe this falling back will cause your throat to produce a lot
of vibrations. This makes you snore. It is advisable to change you sleeping position so that you always sleep on your
side. A body pillow will help you achieve this position.
Having excessive weight makes some people to snore. This is because gaining weight at your throat areas will
squeeze thin your wind pipe. This makes them easily collapse when you are sleeping. If you snore and you have a lot
of weight, you should consider losing weight as it will release the pressure on your windpipe.
Many people who drink are known to snore. Alcohol is usually responsible for reduction of resting tone of muscles
that are found at the back of your throat. This reduction will make it easy for one to snore when they are a sleep.
Even those people who do not usually snore often snore when they are drunk. It is important that if you share a
sleeping room with other people that you avoid drinking to much.
Practicing good sleeping pattern also helps. A void several hours of hard work each day without enough sleep. Short
hours of sleep means you will sleep deeply and hence your throat muscles becomes floppier. This will make snore.
Ensuring your nasal passages are open will help you reduce excessive snoring. Closed nasal passages will lead to
vibrations as you breathe while you are sleeping. The nasal passages can be clogged either due to cold or flue.
Having a hot shower before you sleep will help open your nasal passages. You should also rinse your nose with salt
water before sleeping.
Since excessive snoring can also be caused by allergens present on your pillow, make sure you change it frequently.
Having a pillow fro long will cause dust mites to accumulate there that will irritate you as you sleep. Avoid pets also
from sleeping on your bed.
Drinking a lot of water does not only help you reduce toxins in your body, they also help you cure your snoring. The
secretions that are produced in your nasal passages and throat are usually thicker when you do not drink enough
water or fluids. This thick secretion will accumulate on your throat making you snore. An adult woman should drink at
least twelve glasses of water or fluid while men should take four more.
