James H. Nolen, EA, ABA, ATA, ATP
James “Jim” Nolen is a practicing accountant in Del City, OK. Nolen’s Accounting & Tax
Service, Inc. has been providing accounting and tax services to individuals and small and
medium sized business and individuals for more than 30 years. Jim received his bachelors
of business administration from East Texas State University in 1976. Early in Jim’s career
he taught accounting at the Oklahoma School of Banking and Business in Oklahoma City.
Jim won election as mayor of Del City, Oklahoma, from 1979 thru 1985. Jim is a Rotary
Paul Harris Fellow and is a former president of the Del City Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Nolen received the Accredited Business Accountant credential from the Accreditation
Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT) in 1979, became an Enrolled Agent in
1980, and also holds the ACAT credentials of Accredited Tax Preparer and Accredited Tax
Advisor. Jim served the Oklahoma Society of Accountants as the Executive Vice-President
for 12 years, the Legislative Vice-Chair for 24 years, and was honored as OSA’s
Accountant of the Year in 1992 and again in 1996. Jim continued his service to the
accounting profession as a member and then Chair of the National Society of
Accountant’s Accounting Standards Committee. He was elected a member of the Board
of Governors of the National Society of Accountants in 2004 and currently serves as
NSA’s President.
