November 2008 Nursing Board Exam Checklist
To Do (Days before the Exam)
□ Visit the exam site and check out your room assignment. Take note of the nearest comfort room, cafeteria,
and exits.
□ Determine the route you will take to the exam site. Arrange transportation and do a rehearsal run to
ensure punctuality on the day of the exam.
□ Consume well-balanced meals and have adequate rest and sleep. It is also important to avoid food and
drinks that can cause intestinal distress such as dairy, high-fat and spicy foods, and acidic beverages.
□ Check if the prescribed uniform fits you comfortably. Allow time for any necessary alterations.
□ Prepare all your PRC documents, pencils, sharpener, black ballpen, and prescribed calculator; place
everything in a clear, plastic envelope.
□ Prepare any maintenance medications and a kit containing anti-diarrheals, and no-drowse medications for
colds, pain, and allergies. (optional)
□ Prepare bottled water (labels removed), candies, and light snacks (e.g. crackers) to be brought on the day
of the exam. (optional)
To Do (On the Day of the Exam)
□ Double-check if all previously prepared materials for the examination such as admission requirements,
pencils, pens, envelopes, emergency medicine kit, snacks, and bottled water are in order.
□ Have a light breakfast (remember to avoid dairy, spicy and oily food).
□ Report to your testing room at least an hour and thirty minutes before call time (NOTE: The exam starts
at 8:00 a.m. and late examinees will not be admitted so make sure you report EARLY to the testing site)

□ 2 or more pencils
□ Black ballpen
□ Notice of Admission
□ PRC Receipt
□ 1 meter-postage stamped window mailing envelope
□ 1 big brown envelope
□ 1 transparent plastic long envelope
□ Non-programmable calculator
□ Sharpener (optional)
□ Snacks, meals (optional)

□ emergency medicine kit (optional)
