Served as the chief executive officer of Pixar Animation and went on to become the co-
founder of Apple. Created and sold some of the first commercially successful personal
computers. Such as the Macintosh. He is now the chairman and CEO of Apple. He is worth
$5.5 billion.
After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs resigned from Apple
and founded Next, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher
education and business markets. NeXT's subsequent 1997 buyout by Apple Computer Inc.
He is a technologist because he improved the current technology. Gave us iPods, personal
computers, iPhones and iPads.
