     meters from the edge of the hill. Determine the initial horizontal velocity of the soccer

10. A football is kicked with an initial velocity of 25 ms-1 at an angle of 45-degrees with the

    the football.

11. A long jumper leaves the ground with an initial velocity of 12 ms-1 at an angle of 28-
    degrees above the horizontal. Determine the time of flight, the horizontal distance, and
    the peak height of the long-jumper.

12. The driver of a car slams on the brakes as a truck approaches the car head-on while
    slowing uniformly with acceleration - 5.6 m/s2. The driver of the car is frozen with horror
    for 4.2 s while the truck makes skid marks 62.4 m long. With what speed does the truck
    strike the car?
