While heading back to the classroom for additional coursework may be impractical and costly for some agents, CRS eLearning courses, presented by the Council of Residential Specialists, offer a convenient, cost-effective alternative for agents to learn relevant and practical real estate concepts that they can apply to their business immediately. And because the courses are presented in an interactive, multimedia format via the Web, agents can work on their own time in their own home or office, or anywhere where they have access to a computer with an Internet connection. Designed for agents of all levels of experience, the Council’s eLearning courses, Creating Value for Your Clients and Putting Technology to Work for Your Clients, use a learnby-doing approach and role playing exercises to illustrate key ideas. Participants take on the role of an agent in a fictitious real estate firm to find solutions to challenges that many agents face on the job every day. The self-study format allows agents to customize their learning experience and progress at their own pace. Creating Value for Your Clients shows agents how to develop a business plan, prepare for a listing presentation and negotiate the sale of a home. Agents also learn to evaluate potential real estate investments, take better digital photos for their listings and create repeat business through referrals. Putting Technology to Work for Your Clients gives agents strategies for using the latest real estate technology. Agents learn how to communicate with consumers on the Internet, use their Web site to generate more leads and use the latest technology to increase productivity. The course also helps agents develop an Internet marketing plan and create marketing materials from templates. Once registered, participants have 45 days to complete the eight-hour course and pass the exam. Each CRS eLearning course earns one unit of core credit toward the CRS Designation. Some states offer continuing education credit for CRS eLearning courses. For details, visit http://crs.com/Education/1782. To register for either CRS eLearning course, visit www.crs.com or call CRS customer service at 800-462-8841. The Council of Residential Specialists is a not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors® comprised of more than 46,000 members. It awards the CRS Designation to experienced Realtors® who have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate. ###
