RULES
USEF Rules to apply, except as specified. Note: BHSA rules will be used in the adjudication of the Western Riding class.
USEF age rule to apply. Participant age determined as of 12-1-08
Participants in this show must be a minimum of 8 years old.
Adult Amateurs must have amateur status, according to USEF rules.
Entries close one class prior to class being entered.
No stallions may be shown in any showmanship class.
No stallions may be shown by youth, except in pleasure classes, as allowed by breed rules (Arabian).
Adult amateurs may show stallions, except in showmanship.
Unruly or dangerous horses will be excused from the arena.
Classes with 4 or less riders may be combined or canceled.
English Classes: Whips (saddle or dressage seat), crops (hunter seat), spurs (unroweled) are optional. USEF- ASTM/SEI Helmet rule will not apply in
English equitation classes. However, certified safety helmets may be worn in any class, without prejudice in the placing of the class.
Ropes, reatas, hobbles & chaps are optional. Standard western bits are required for western pleasure & western seat equitation classes, except for horses
5 & under.
Western junior horses 5 & under may show in a smooth snaffle or bosal. Riders showing with a smooth snaffle or bosal must ride with two hands.
Novice horses and/or Novice riders shall not have won 3 first place ribbons at any RMHSA, BHSA, AQHA, or any other breed horse show as of April 19,
2009.
Contestants in Walk/Trot/Jog classes may not enter other riding class(es) which require a lope/canter, however, they may show in showmanship classes.
Copies of papers or registration numbers required for entering classes 35 & 36.
Class 19 – There will be no entry fee. A BHSA medal will be awarded to 1st place, however, no other ribbons will be awarded.
Veterinarian on call.
Stalls are available on the show grounds @$15.00/day with $5.00 refunded, if stall is cleaned. Bring your own apple picker, bedding, feed and water
buckets. Please clean around your horse trailer, if you tie.
Camper spaces available. Exhibitors must make reservations with Boulder County Fairgrounds. $15/day-no services, $20/day-water or electric, $25/day-
