Legislative Committee The Legislative Committee of the Banking Law Section is focused on updating members with respect to banking legislation and new laws in the banking, financial services, consumer finance areas. Assists the Section in the formulation of legislative policy by making recommendations on legislation. The committee analyzes the legal and political implications of banking legislation on the membership. The committee informs the section membership of important legislative issues and seek their involvement in the review of legislation. Meets periodically to monitor legislative events that are of importance and provide a forum for discussion of legislative issues affecting banking law. The Committee anticipates holding a program in the fall of 2007 to discuss Recent Action in Trenton: Come and Meet the Key Legislators Involved in Banking Legislation. The Committee is considering holding a "Day at the Capitol" event in Trenton to promote dialogue and foster relationships with regulators and legislative representatives.
