This course covers the production of shop drawings and equipment lists. Topics include the use of orthographic
projections and axonometric, oblique, and perspective projections in production drawings. Upon completion,
students should be able to design and produce a set of plans that will facilitate the economical production of a
project.

This course covers furniture styles and construction from Gothic to contemporary. Emphasis is placed on basic
design fundamentals and the elements of design construction for various style periods. Upon completion, students
should be able to determine the organization and relationship of specific design principles to basic design problems.

This course covers nineteenth- and twentieth-century design and designers. Emphasis is placed on the factors that
influence the style, construction, and degree of success of nineteenth- and twentieth-century design. Upon
completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge acquired to current furniture design requirements. This
course is a unique concentration requirement in the Design and Product Development concentration in the
Furniture Production Technology program.

manufacture of a product. Topics include materials, manufacturing processes, analysis, production drawings,
calculations, and specifications. Upon completion, students should be able to research and produce all information
needed to complete a project for manufacture. This course is a unique concentration requirement of the Drafting
and Design concentration in the Mechanical Engineering program.

This course introduces advanced solid modeling and design software. Topics include design principles, design
constraints, work planes, view generation, and model shading and rendering. Upon completion, students should be
able to create advanced solid models.

This course introduces three-dimensional solid modeling and design software. Topics include parametric design
principles, design constraints, work planes, view generation, and model shading and rendering. Upon completion,
students should be able to create three-dimensional solid models using parametric design, generate two-dimensional
views, and render three-dimensional models.

This course covers scaled furniture sketching. Emphasis is placed on the application of scaled furniture drawings to
