experts as well as in legal interim management.
Our Client
Our client is AIG Europe Belgium. AIG Europe is part of AIU (American International
Underwriters), a global network of international property – casualty operations. AIU
member insurance companies offer a full range of property – casualty products to
both commercial and consumer clients. The AIU network operates in more than 80
countries worldwide with 10 regional offices in major cities.
AIG Europe has offices in 13 European countries.
AIG Europe Belgium has 140 employees. Its business lines are focusing on the
following products for local and multinational accounts: financial lines, liabilities,
property & energy, accident & health and marine.
For the office in Brussels, AIG Europe Belgium is looking for two legal advisors to
reinforce the departments in charge of liability products.
Your Postion
You will be part of a team and will report to the legal manager of the business line.
As a Legal Advisor, you will assess, analyse and underwrite important liability risks.
You will negotiate, draft and review a wide variety of insurance policies with clients
and brokers.
You will follow up on renewals and required changes, adapt policy limits and insured
values, follow up on claims, insert new countries…
You will assist in developing new products and new targets.
You will closely work together with the accounting department, brokers, agents and
external clients.
At last, you will provide training to the business about specific contractual
fundamentals.
Profile
You have a Belgian Master degree in Law.
You have 2 to 4 years of experience in an international law firm in commercial law,
corporate law or general law matters or you have minimum 5 years experience in
liability matters (casualty, crisis management, pollution, fleet,…) in an international
law firm or a multinational company.
You are dynamic, motivated, no nonsense, hands on and flexible. You have a can do
attitude.
You can work autonomous and are a team player at the same time.
You are stress resistant, like to work in a challenging and demanding environment
and have excellent organisation skills.
You are customer service oriented.
Dutch is your mother tongue. You have working experience in English and have a
good knowledge of French.
