content to nearly 750 non-duplicative stations reaching more than 20 million listeners each week. ESPN
Radio's nearly 350 full-time affiliates, offering round the clock programming, include owned stations in New
York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Pittsburgh. Additionally, ESPN Radio is also the exclusive national
radio network for the NBA, Major League Baseball and the Bowl Championship Series. ESPN Radio's
programming is also available to our men and women in uniform serving in more than 175 countries and U.S.
territories.
Description of Internship Duties
Marketing Internship with ESPN Radio's New York station: Help brainstorm and develop a variety of consumer
and client marketing initiatives during the semester. (Examples might include developing once-in-a-lifetime
listener promotions that would appeal to a variety of potential sponsor categories.) The ideal intern would have
a passion and strong knowledge of sports at the professional, college and HS level as well as an interest in
marketing. Prefer that the candidate be from the NY metropolitan area but that is not a requirement.
Hours Per Week

Preferred Schedule for Intern
Ideal schedule would be 4-5 hours per day for 3 days.

The appeal for students would be the combination of working in the sports and broadcasting industries in an
extremely fast-paced environment. Our station is the broadcast home of the New York Jets, New York Knicks
and New York Rangers with significant emphasis on Major League Baseball as well. The marketing department
develops several high-visibility promotions each quarter, manages multiple listener events each week with our
on-air staff and is responsible for 1050espnradio.com.
