Job Description
Summary
The Digital Content Intern assists the NBC Universal Digital Studios team of producers
throughout all stages of production for multiple video projects.
Specific Duties
Assist producers with researching topics
Assist producers with casting talent/guests
Assist producers with scouting shoot locations
Preliminary fact-checking
Conduct audience demographic research
Research newsletters, chat rooms, boards and sites related to show topics
Send/Post press releases
Scout/secure props
Compile music samples for various shows/segments
Compile graphics and/or video samples
Assist producers on shoots
o Interview questions
o Gathering scripts
o Taking producer’s notes/selects
o Release forms
o Arranging crew lunch
o gophering
Maintain headshots, talent bios, reels
Logging tapes (verbatims when necessary)
Managing files, tear sheets
Update master show spreadsheet with webisode titles, numbers and show summaries
Working with graphics (downloading from camera, naming, organizing images)
Burning/labeling DVD screeners and presentations
Administrative Skills
Professional, mature, helpful and ambitious
Writing and researching skills helpful
Strong communication skills (Interpersonal)
Telephoning contacts to confirm dates, times, etc. as requested by producers
Ability to perform tasks such as copying, faxing, shipping and deliveries
Ability to file, organize and word process (MS Word and Excel)
Ability to cold call for research, casting and location purposes
Internet savvy
Knowledge of unique and creative content campaigns and content online

NBC Universal Digital Studios creates original and interactive video content for on-air, online
and on-the-go.

NBC Universal is still seeking production interns for the Fall semester in our NBC Digital
Studios division.
Interns must be able to receive college credit for their internship, and they must be a
sophomore and above. Master's students are also eligible.
