FINANCIAL AID

The Office of Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Student Employment offers a comprehensive financial aid program that

attempts to meet the financial needs of all Howard University students. First time in college students should apply for early

action admission to be considered for several available freshman scholarships. All U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, and

permanent residents must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Applicants must list

Howard University and its code (001448) as the college they plan to attend. The University’s deadline for priority consideration

is February 15th. Non-U.S. citizens on temporary visas are not eligible for federal aid but may be eligible for assistance

through the University’s grants, scholarships, or student employment programs.
