INSTRUCTOR RECERTIFICATION APPLICATION
When you become an instructor, you are authorized to be a Home from Work™ instructor for two years.
Your Instructor Agreement includes your authorization term. To renew your certification, you need to
have taught at least one class during your two-year term. If you did not teach a class during your term,
you need to be recertified. To be considered for recertification, you need to complete the form below
and, if approved, take the Train the Trainer class again.

I agree to adhere to the terms outlined in the Instructors Agreement and also listed below.
1. Statement of Commitment: On a separate sheet of paper to be attached with this application,
write a paragraph explaining why you were unable to meet the minimum requirements of
teaching a class in the past two year to remain a certified instructor. Also include the steps you
will take to meet the requirements in the future.
2. Experience and Expertise: Attach a current resume and additional documentation to describe
your teaching and real estate experience and expertise .
The Home From Work ™ is licensed to the National Association of REALTORS (“NAR”) and as authorized
by NAR, you agree to teach the Home From Work™ class under the auspices of a licensed class sponsor.
You agree to teach the class objectives using NAR’s prepared material, and agree to collect a class roster
and class evaluations on NAR’s forms and submit these to NAR. You also agree to assist the class
sponsor with administrative duties, and to notify NAR with any changes in your name, address,
telephone number or e-mail address. NAR may make changes to the Home From Work™ class and
procedures and will provide notice to you regarding these changes. You agree to comply with or meet
these changes within a time frame specified in the notice to you. You agree that NAR may remove your
authorization to teach the Home From Work™ class for any reason, including but not limited to the
following:
A) Inactivity in teaching. Instructors must present the class at least once during their authorization
period.
B) Failure to teach the Class objectives or not using the licensed materials.
C) Inadequate performance.
D) Not distributing Class evaluations. NAR will, on an ongoing basis, evaluate instructors by
reviewing evaluations.
E) Failure to assist sponsor with administrative duties. Sponsors that engage you as an instructor
will provide you with their specific instructions for all administrative duties.
F) Unauthorized modification of Class materials.
G) Misconduct, including harassment of any kind (sexual, racial, religious, ethnic, etc.)
H) Upon the recommendation of a Class monitor assigned by NAR to observe the instructor. NAR
may assign a monitor to observe any instructor at any time, without notice to the instructor.
