How To Make Money On Youtube

Step 1: Choose a topic you can make a video for consistently. Choose a topic that is the interest of a
broad group of people with varying tastes. For the example we will use video games and continue to do
so through the following steps. Make sure all content uploaded on your channel is your own content!
Step 2: Sign up for a Google Account. Go to http://www.google.com and
click “Sign In” the far right corner. You will be prompted to log into your
account. Below the login prompt is another box stating
http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en“Don’t have a Google Account”,
click on the “Create an account now link”. You will be prompted to create
a username, password, security question and other pieces of information.
Step 3: Sign up for a Youtube account. Go to http://www.Youtube.com
and click the “Sign Up” link located in the far right corner. It will
prompt to login with your Google account. Login and it will prompt you
with a few more boxes asking you to create a username and password.
The accounts are now linked together.
Step 4: Create a video that is based on your subject to upload to YouTube. For
example, we used video games as our topic, a video of us commentating, showing
new game footage, or interviewing design teams are perfect videos to upload.
While creating a video we also recommend making yourself a unique intro to
stand out from the crowd. Remember you’re trying to make money in the long
run and this is your product, please try and make your product as professional and
appealing as possible.
Step 5: Upload your video to Youtube. Go to http://www.Youtube.com and click the “Upload” link
located to the right of the search bar. It will prompt you to the location of the video on your computer.
Click the video and press upload. Next there will be a form to fill out detailing your video. It prompt you
to fill in a title, description and tags. The form will also display the percent of completion your video is to
uploading. Make sure to click “Save Changes” after filling out your form.
Step 6: Promote your videos. Promote your video by posting it to social networks
such as Facebook or Twitter. You want people to watch and subscribe to your
videos in order to get paid.
Step 7: Create an audience. In order to get paid for your videos you must complete
certain requirements in order for Google to pay you for your content. You must obtain 1,000 subscribers,
100 friends and 100,000 video views. This seems like a difficult and overwhelming feet but the pay off is
great. Google and Youtube both want to make sure you are committed to creating content before they are
willing to pay you for it. Building an audience by uploading
multiple videos will take time but it is a fun and rewarding
experience.
Step 8: After you have met your audience requirements it is
now time to apply for “Partnership”. “Partnership” is your
application for Google and Youtube to allow permission to
apply ads on your videos. Log in to your Youtube account
and go to the link http://www.Youtube.com/partners . Click apply and follow the directions as they
constantly change in order to submit your account for reviewing.
Step 9: Hopefully at this step your application was accepted. Congratulations! However you still need to
apply ads to your videos. Head over to https://www.google.com/adsense/ fill out your tax
information and connect it to your Youtube account through their sub menus.
Step 10: Log in to your Youtube account. Click on your username and then “Account” in the far
right corner. In the middle of the screen there is a link that states “Adsense Account Settings”
click on it. Here you can apply ads to your videos.
Once again congratulations and remember to keep
uploading new content in order to make more money.
