Unit 8 Summary
In this unit you learned the following:
• You can copy files on the Accelar 1000, but you can also
move and rename them on the Accelar 8000.
• The Boot Monitor and Run-Time CLI commands are very
similar on the 8600 while they are somewhat different on
 the 1000.
• To change some boot parameters for the Accelar 1000
you MUST be in monitor mode.
• You can connect to the Accelar switch either physically,
with a serial cable or ethernet connection, or logically
through telnet or a dial-up link.

Summary
In this unit you learned the following:
• That the upgrade procedure can be as simple as
plugging in a PCMCIA flash memory card and booting
the system a couple of times.
• The Accelar lets you set RMON alarms relating to
specific events, or variables, that you select from a drop-
 down menu.
• There are different levels of security in the Accelar.
Logins with passwords; Web logins with passwords; and
 SNMP community strings.
