Q. Can I study the e-learning courses at home?
A. You can study the e-learning courses anywhere, anytime. As long as you
have a computer with internet connection, you can go to the URL:
http://ecampus2.vtc.edu.hk/hkicpa_test/ and login with your own login ID and
password.
Q. What is the minimum hardware requirement of my computer in order to
play the SkillSoft e-learning courses?
A. Basic hardware requirements include Pentium 166 MHz CPU or above, 128
MB RAM, sound card, headset and 56Kbps internet connection. Please set the
resolution to 1024 x 768. The setting can be referred to Appendix 1.
Q. Why do I cannot stay the course?
A. Please go to the brower test at http://browser.skillport.com/bh/default.asp. You
may need to disable the preventing pop-up windows function from Yahoo, Google
and NOD32 as in Appendix 2.
Q. After keying in my login ID and password, I have been waiting for a long
time with the message “SkillPort has not finished initializing your desktop
settings. Click OK, wait a few seconds, then login again”. What can I do?
A. There is no Sun JRE 1.6.0_12 being installed into your Microsoft Internet
Explorer (version 6.0 or above). Sun JRE 1.6.0_12 is an essential software to play
the SkillSoft e-learning course and a free software. User can download the JRE
to activate the Javascript and run the course. The detailed installation guide can
be found in Appendix 3.
Q. What are the criteria of completing a SkillSoft e-learning course?
A. The course is completed if all assessments have been attempted with overall
test score 50 or above.
Q. How many times can I take the course test?
A. Learners can take the test as many times as they wish. Three test results will
be recorded in their test reports. Preassess Results is the Pre-test or first
attempt score. Mastery High Result is the highest scores. Mastery Current
Result is the most current scores.
Q. How can I see my learning progress?
A. Learners can see their detailed learning progress by clicking “My Report” under
the “Shortcuts”. Learners can refer the User Guide for other operational details.
Q. What are the actual date for completion ?
A. Please ignore the “due” date on the system. You must follow the actual
completion date as issued by the letter from HKIHRM.

Download and install Java 1.6.0_011 or above

After upgrade, you can check the update at the (Tools)工具-> (Internet Options) 網際網絡選項->
(Advance) 進階. Please make sure that Java(Sun) JRE1.6.0_11 is ticked while Microsoft VM is not ticked
as bellows.
