BSc curriculum
All BSc students (via JUPAS, non-JUPAS, EAS and Mainland) are admitted to the 6901 Bachelor of Science programme. Students in the 6901 programme are allowed to choose any one of the 14 Science majors to be the primary major

180 credits over 3 years Core courses (72 credits for primary Science Major) (18 credits introductory level courses 54 credits advanced level courses*) *Experiential learning course (might be credit bearing) Faculty Elective Courses (12 credits other than the one for the selected primary major) Language and Humanities Courses (12 credits including English, Chinese, IT, broadening courses, interfaculty or intrafaculty electives) Elective Courses (Any other courses that make up the 180 total credits) Faculty of Science

(Courses involve the manipulation and interpretation of numerical and categorical information and the quantification of interferences drawn from that information)

BSc Graduation Requirements
Sc13 To be eligible for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Science, candidates shall pass a minimum of 180 credits of courses, including (a) 6 credits of courses in English language enhancement; (b) 3 credits of course in Chinese language enhancement; (c) a 3 credit course from those listed under the Humanities and Social Sciences studies; (d) satisfactory completion of IT proficiency requirement, as specified by the Board; (e) at least 90 credits of Science courses, of which no less than 60 credits must be gained from advanced courses; and (f) all required courses as prescribed in the major and minor curricula; and Faculty Elective Courses

Plagiarism
An academic misdemeanour and is a serious disciplinary offence Involve “stolen” the words from others or presented the “stolen’ words The situation is particularly severe in course assessment involving

submission of report / poster / presentation, where students have
been caught copying materials in bulk

All BSc I students (not BSc(ActuarSc) I students) have to meet with at least one Course Selection Adviser (CSA) during course selection process Students can select CSA of his/her choice Students need to print out Course Selection Report (Finalized) from the UIS and bring to a CSA for signature

(students are reminded to seek approval from CSA of the course-offering major/minor)

Approval of replacement course (if a major/minor

Replacement Course Approval for overloading of above 36 credits in a semester and over 72 credits in a year

Students will bring the following to the Faculty Office before deadline
Course Selection Report (Finalized) form endorsed by a Course Selection Adviser Course Approval Form endorsed by a Course Selection Adviser (if necessary) Individual timetable Copy of HKAL, HKCEE, or other public examination results

Students need to do the same thing if they switch courses during course add/drop period
