1.3 Can the login and password information be used by more than one user (eg
colleagues from the same office)?
No, EAIE membership is on an individual basis and therefore all records in our
database are individual records and linked to the information of one person.
2 EAIE membership
2.1 Do I have to be a member in order to attend the Academy or any other
professional development activity?
No. EAIE events are open to everyone. However, EAIE members receive a
significant discount on their course fee.
2.2 What does EAIE membership include?
The EAIE is a non-profit organisation whose main aim is to promote and
professionalise the internationalisation of higher education in Europe and around
the world, and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international
education.
There is a wide range of benefits offered by the EAIE to its members. These
include access to a worldwide network, discounts on attendance fee for the
Annual Conference and activities of the Professional Development Programme
and access to the EAIE membership directory, free publications and special
offers on various other publications.
2.3 How much does EAIE membership cost?
Membership costs EUR 190 per year. We offer a reduced fee of EUR 95 per year
to applicants working in countries classified as 'low-income economies' or 'lower-
middle economies' by the World Bank (http://data.worldbank.org/about/country-
classifications).

3 Registration
3.1 When is my registration confirmed?
Once the EAIE Office has processed your registration you will receive a
confirmation and receipt per e-mail. Should you not receive this information
within three working days after completing the online registration form, please
contact the EAIE Office.
3.2 When can I confirm my travel and accommodation arrangements?
Once the event has received a sufficient number of participants the EAIE Office
will contact all participants and inform them to confirm their travel and
accommodation arrangements. The EAIE will do this latest six weeks before the
start of the event.
3.3 Can I still register if the registration deadline has already passed?
Yes, we will accept registrations even after the registration deadline until the
event is full.
3.4 I have tried to register for one of the events, but I saw a note ‘fully booked’
at the end of the registration form. Can I still apply for the event or is it
already full?
‘Fully booked’ at the end of the registration form is only a description of the sign
which will appear on the registration form next to each academy course that has
reached the maximum number of participants. If the ‘fully booked’ icon is only
shown at the end of the form, it is only a description of the sign.
3.5 Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer your registration to one of your colleagues and can request
this by sending an e-mail to the EAIE Office. Please note that no transfer will be
accepted later than one week before the start of the event.
3.6 Can I cancel my registration without costs?
Participants can cancel their participation free of charge up until the registration
deadline (7 weeks before the start of the event). Afterwards participants will be
charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the registration fee. In case of a
cancellation less than 2 weeks before the start of the event the full fee will be
charged (exception illness or other severe circumstances like death in the family).
Please note that no exception will be made in the event that your visa application
is declined. Obtaining a visa and all the associated costs is the sole responsibility
of the participant. The EAIE cannot assist in the visa application process other
than in the issue of a letter of “invitation to attend”. The letter of invitation is only
issued once full payment has been received.
3.7 Is there a discount if more colleagues from the same institution attend?
No. The course fee is priced per person and unfortunately no discounts will be
