1. Call Ms. Angela Bergman of the Michigan Supreme Court
Historical Society at (517) 373-7589 or send her an e-mail at
abergman@micourthistory.org for suggestions
2. Call the State Bar of Michigan at (517) 346-6300 and ask for
telephone numbers of potential volunteer speakers or ask
for contacts that will help you locate such volunteers
3. Call your local county lawyer association or call one of a
number of special purpose law organizations and ask for a
volunteer guest speaker.
4. Call the Supreme Court Clerk and ask if their office can
put you in contact with potential volunteer guest speakers.
***Be sure that your guest speaker is familiar with the Supreme
Court specifically
****Due to the inflexibility of most attorneys’ schedules, it is
recommended that a speaker be contacted at least a month in
advance of the classroom appearance.
