Introduction
      The MedEDI Training Manual will provide a comprehensive learning corner stone into the
MedEDI software program and an informative reference to be used there forth.

        The manual has a concreate structure making reference easier. The structure is as follows;

1. Category

        The category arranged tasks into groups of what they achieve.

1.1 Task

        The task is an overall function available via MedEDI.

1.1.1 Step

        A step or numerous steps make up each task and need to be completed to achieve the task.

1.1.1.1 Entity within a step

        Within steps there are sections which involve the user. These entity’s make up each step.
This guide describes how to use and understand these entity’s to complete each step.

         Following the structure of the manual will ensure the user is able to complete each task
listed in this document and understand the overall process.

2.      Bill a patient.




2.5     Record and play a macro.
To begin populate the, ‘Bill Details’ with items to be billed.



2.5.1   Bill details




          2.5.1.1 – Bill contents.
          Here the user has added items to this bill details screen. If the user creates this bill a lot, it is
efficient to record a macro. A macro saves everything on the bill now. This process creates a
template bill the user can simply play. A macro is not just for the entire bill details, it is available for
the bill categories, such as only procedures in the procedure section.



Click, ‘Record Macro’ or hit F7 on keyboard to continue.

2.5.2   Record macro.




         2.5.2.1 – Macro name.
         The Macro can be recorded under a name defined by the user for easier reference. The user
will use this name to retrieve and play the macro in the future. A clever selection of a name should
be conducted to make it easier to remember.

        2.5.2.2 – Bill contents.
        The contents mirror all the items that are on the current bill details.

        2.5.2.3 – Tick box.
        The user can tick this block and all the items in the contents will be selected for recording
into the macro, deselect this box and all the items will be deselected. Alternatively the user can
select or deselect items by using their individual tick box to the left of each item.



Click, ‘Ok’ to save this macro.




2.5.3   Bill details.


For the process example click, ‘Discard Changes’ to loose all items on the Bill Details.

2.5.4   Choose patient to bill.


For the process example click, ‘Bill Patient’ to return to the Bill Details.




2.5.5   Bill details.




        2.5.5.1 – Bill contents.
        There are no items currently in the bill as it has just been opened.



Click, ‘Play Macro’ or hit F8 on keyboard to continue.

2.5.6   Play macro.




         2.5.6.1 – Search for macro.
         The Macro can be recorded under a name defined by the user for easier reference. The user
will use this name to retrieve and play the macro in the future. A clever selection of a name should
be conducted to make it easier to remember.

        2.5.6.2 – Macro contents.
        All the items recorded under the macro will appear here.

        2.5.6.3 – Delete.
        To delete this currently selected macro, click this button.

       2.5.6.4 – Print.
       Click the print button and MedEDI will create a document listing all of the macros with their
contents saved on the system. Here the user can print this document or save it to their computer.

         2.5.6.5 – Overwrite existing bill details.
         If the user has already added items to the bill details in the background, Selecting this tick
box will delete those items and replace them with items from this macro, otherwise, the macro
items will be added to the bill with the items already there.



Click, ‘Ok’ to play macro.
