Soilpollution
-Some bad chemicals can go into our skin if we touch the
polluted soil. Some plants may take up these bad chemicals
from the dirty soil. These chemicals could be passed on
because if people eat the plants that are poisoned they may
die or become sick.
-Animals eat plants and the poison could also go into their
bodies. For example cows.People eat meat from cows and
drink milk and they might become sick.
• Toxic waste dumps are another thing that can make soil pollution.
Many dangerous chemicals are stored in those dirty cans. The bad
chemicals might spill out of the cans and get into the soil and make
soil pollution's you know we can make soil pollution from garbage.
Worms help to increase the
amount of air and water that
gets into the soil. They
break down organic matter,
like leaves and grass into
things that plants can use.
When they eat, they leave
behind castings that are a
very valuable type of
fertilizer
Soil is defined as the top layer of the earth’s crust. It is formed by mineral particles,
organic matter, water, air and living organisms. It is in fact an extremely complex,
variable and living medium. The interface between the earth, the air and the water,
soil is a non-renewable resource which performs many vital functions: food and
other biomass production, storage, filtration and transformation of many
substances including water, carbon, nitrogen.
Soil scientists have identified over 10,000 different types of soil in Europe.

The tropical parts of Asia suffer from serious soil erosion caused by intense
rainfall that occurs within a few months of the year, and the topography of
cultivated upper catchments. With nearly 60% of the total land surface covered by
mountains and high plateaus, soil erosion remains a major problem to
sustainable agricultural development in these marginal uplands. In addition to
reducing agricultural productivity on-site, erosion causes negative impacts off-
site

Based on 18 months of Envisat observations, this high-resolution
global atmospheric map of nitrogen dioxide pollution makes clear
just how human activities impact air quality.
