Dax DX-5026MGV
Introduction
Dax DX-502MGV switches are innovatively designed to improve LAN operating efficiency with high
performance. It comes with 24-port 10/100Mbps ports, 2 Gigabit copper/miniGBIC ports. It combines
user friendliness with unsurpassed performance resulting in an exceptional value for any Enterprise
Network. In addition to its Granular Rate Limiting feature, the switch has advanced feature like QoS and
Bandwidth Management
High-Performance, High Availability L2 Switching
The DX-5026MGV is a wire-speed non-blocking high performance switch ideal for workgroups or
departments. The DX-5026MGV supports port Trunking with up to 4 trunk groups. It supports 8 ports in
each group. Port Trunking provides business users to increase availability and aggregated bandwidth thus
leading to a high level switching performance.
Investment Protected Interoperability
IEEE approved specifications proves that the DX-5026MGV Stackable Layer 2 Switch protects your
existing investment in the open market while maximizing compatibility of features such as, Spanning
Tree (802.1d / 802.1s / 802.1w), QoS (802.1p / TCP & UDP port number), VLANs (802.1Q), and network

network management (SNMP/RMON/BOOTP/Telnet/Web). The switch with robust support of features like
SNMP / RMON / BOOTP/ Telnet / Web / TFTP & port mirroring, enables it to be easily integrated into many
third-party network management packages there by ensuring interoperability. The IEEE 802.1D
Spanning Tree Protocol support for loop-free networks improve fault tolerance and simplifies network
configuration.
Advanced Management & backup support
With Industry standard Command Line Interface (CLI) via console port or Telnet , DX 5026MGV provides a
common user interface and command set for users to manipulate the switch. It features embedded user
friendly web interface helping users to quickly and simply configure the switches. SNMPV1/V2/V3
management, four groups RMON for traffic management, monitoring and analysis are supported to
enable networks to be managed efficiently. With firmware Upgradation through TFTP and fine tuning
configuration, the switch can have dual software images and multiple configuration files for reliable
backup information for mission critical applications. DX-5026MGV also targets the management needs,
by supporting DHCP client and BootP.
Highly Progressive Auto Sensing technology
Auto sensing capability allows the switch to automatically sense whether the network device is running at
10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, and then adjusting itself for optimal performance. Auto Negotiating feature (full /
half duplex) negotiates and runs the highest supported transmission rate, whether Half or Full Duplex.
Auto MDI-MDIX offers auto- negotiating MDI-MDIX detection in all ports to eliminate the need of
crossover cables or Straight cable.
Flexible Gigabit Uplink ports
Two Combo Gigabit uplink ports are available which can support both Gigabit Copper as well as SFP
(Single mode and multi mode) which allows network managers to upgrade their networks flexibly.
High Security Options for Safe Environment
The DX-5026MGV supports a comprehensive set of security features for connectivity and access control,
including ACL, RADIUS (Authentication), port-level security, and identity-based network services with
802.1Xport based access control, TACACS+, SSL and SSH( V1.5/V2.0). This set of comprehensive
features helps prevent external attacks and also unauthorized access to the network.
