4 Improvement and New Features
This section describes the improvement and new features made to the iQ2880 firmware
between versions 6200.08 and 6200.09. It carries on all the applicable SCNs from iQ2880
6130.04 release.

 Please refer to release notes of iQ2880 6130.04.
 Cache coherency supports true active-active.

Limitations:

 RAID6 and JBOD are not supported.

                                            5
SCN Number Description
SCN-0601 Fix cache flusher range problem.
SCN-0602 Fix the problem that after deleting raid, 'rsinfo' command can not find the raid
             information.

Improve the system manager message, in SCN-586.
SCN-0603 Allow deleting a vdisk when IO count is below threshold (i.e. when no real IO).
SCN-0605 Fix bug #717.
SCN-0607 Fix bug 708. Sync the cache ranges between two controllers when booting up one
             of them.
SCN-0608 Correct printout from econf for SAN Manager.
SCN-0610 Fix bug 710.
SCN-0612 1. Not allow rebuild read traffic to declare drive fault. If rebuild read traffic hit IO
failure on a drive, the rebuild will fail, instead of triggering multiple drive failure.
Only host IO traffic and SV metadata traffic can trigger drive failure.

             2. When autorepair failed during rebuild, the raidset and spare drive will be rolled
back to the non-rebuilding state. Manual operation, such as
Rreplace/replace/repair, is needed to restart the rebuild.

             3. Extend SCN-0602 to board range to avoid similar bugs.
SCN-0613 1. Disable system manager Current IO page for Active-Active.

             2. Disable "cache mirror" column in system manager cache settings page for
             Active-Active.

             3. Cache mirror is always on in Active-Active mode.

3 Naming Convention for System Manager Firmware Download

Firmware categories:
16. iQ main firmware: *.frm

                                            15
17. EMIO firmware for iQ: *.biq
    EMIO firmware for JBOD: *.bij

18. Drive firmware
    Vendor: ST (Seagate), HDS (Hitachi)
    Type: FC, SATA, SAS

Drive firmware must have one of the following extensions to identify its vendor and
type, so that system manager can automatically distribute the drive firmware to
corresponding drives for firmware upgrade. This is especially effective when the
systems have mixed drive type and drive vendor.

    .st_fc
    .st_sata
    .st_sas
    .hds_fc
    .hds_sata
    .hds_sas
