REMOTE CONTROLLED HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE – RC

Description:

Dorot “RC” model valve is a hydraulic control valve operated by line pressure or
pneumatic pressure (if desired). It is used for opening / closing process in
applications from which electric source, control device, control pressure etc. is far
away.

Features:

 It is closed as fully sealed without causing surge thanks to its flexible
       diaphragm.
 It performs easy and fast controlling function even in high pressure lines
thanks to 3-way hydraulic relay mounted on valve.
 It may be used in different applications by adding different pilot valves on main
       valve body.

Installation:

 Make sure that valve is on a level with the pipeline while mounting it.
 Mount valve in direction of arrow indicated on it.
 While connecting valve on pipeline, place gasket between valve flange and
pipe flange to ensure sealing and tighten the bolts as crosswise.
 Determine diameter of hydraulic pressure pipe which ensures operating
control of valve according to distance from other energy sources or consult our
       technical department.
 It is recommended that insulation valves (butterfly or gate valves etc.), air relief
valve and strainer valves will be used in line-mounting of valve (see sample
       montage illustration).
Adjustment:

 Open ball valve indicated with “b1”.
 Select set point by means of 3-way selector valve indicated with “a” on valve.
 Valve is open in “Open” position and closed in “Close” position.
 Bring 3-way selector valve indicated with “a” into “auto” position and connect
       hydraulic pipe to “auto” port.

Maintenance:

 Check finger filter on valve upstream according to water quality.
 Drain water within actuator and pilot valves of valves not used in winter.

TROUBLESHOOTING

 FAILURE CAUSES CORRECTING/REPAIR
 Line pressure may be low.  Check upstream pressure and
                                                         ensure required upstream
 3-way selector valve may be pressure.
Valve not closed.  Check selector valve. Bring valve
opening into “Open” position.
 3-way selector valve may be  Check 3-way valve and clean it.
                   clogged.
 Diaphragm may be punctured.  Check diaphragm and replace with
the new one if it is punctured.
 Foreign substances may exist  Check diaphragm seat and
Valve not in diaphragm seat. remove foreign substances if any.
closing
 3-way selector valve may be  Check selector valve. Bring valve
                   closed. into “Close” position.

 3-way selector valve may be  Check 3-way valve and clean it.
                   clogged..
