Children’s Home masked the real reason for her call:

“Mrs. Tammy, guess what I am doing?” Almost

afraid to ask, I reluctantly said, “What?” Joyfully she

replied, “Dyeing Easter eggs with my son.” My heart

skipped a beat. She continued, “Do you remember

when you MADE me dye those eggs and then hunt

them?” Could I forget? “We had fun that day, didn’t

we—even though I gave you a hard time? If you had

not made me dye eggs that day, Mrs. Tammy, I

wouldn’t know how to do it with my son today—and

I just wanted to say Thank You.”

We often talk about planting seeds here at the

Home. Unfortunately we usually do not see those

seeds blossom. Our job is simply to plant them. That

day, however, I got to see one of my seeds in full

bloom—and IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!
